Baby Proofing Your Home!

Do you have a little one that’s ready to explore the world?

The idea of child-proofing your home can feel like a nerve-racking task to take on. Between sharp corners, electrical outlets, stairs, and sharp edges, it can feel a bit overwhelming. Lucky for you, we’ve brainstormed and made a Cheat Sheet to help make that project feel a bit less overwhelming and that much more doable.

The Basics

Cover those outlets!

Outlet covers are a must. It’s a common fear of our little ones trying to stick their fingers in electrical outlets. Covering those outlets nips that fear in the bud. Similarly, if you're worried about our littles pulling down objects by the cords, cord covers are a wonderful way to prevent that from happening.

Lock those drawers/cabinets!

Our littles love exploring, especially places that are at their eye level. Locking those areas are vital to keeping them safe. Especially when they contain small objects, chemicals, or breakable items.

Cover those Corners!

When our littles start to be more mobile, tumbles are inevitable. We want to be sure they don’t hit or land on sharp corners. Be sure to note any lower tables, fireplaces or even certain door frames that could cause potential injuries. Plastic and foam protectors are great resources.

Here are our staple child proofing supplies.
